There are multiple ways to volunteer for service.
- Join us on our Discord server and let us know in the meeting channel.
- Contact us
- Attend the meeting’s business/group conscience meeting (see the meeting calendar for days/times)
There are many service positions in WeAgnostics; here are descriptions for some of them.
Chair: If you’ve been to one meeting, you can chair a meeting. All you do is read the script and call on people.
Treasurer: Collects donations and disperses money for expenses.
Secretary: Collects agenda items from others and chairs the business meeting. Keeps the meeting script updated and makes sure the chairperson calendar is filled.
Intergroup Representative: Attends We Agnostic Virtual Intergroup meetings representing their meeting.
WSO Delegate: Attends the WSO Annual Business Conference (ABC) while representing the meeting.
Additional Service Positions: Safety Team
These 3 service positions require a small amount of training. We ask that you go through the We Agnostics safety team training (about 90 minutes) – training dates and times are announced in meetings and on Discord.
Host: This is the person responsible for the safety of the meeting in the event of a disruption. There is a separate training for those who have been cohost and want to try their hand at hosting the meeting. The host also posts in the chat area during the meeting.
Cohost 1: Screen shares the Serenity Affirmation, Promises and Responsibility statement. Helps watch squares for disruptions and helps the host in the event of a disturbance.
Cohost 2: Mainly lowers hands and may let people in from the waiting room.
